Decoder is a combinational circuit that decodes the data from n input lines to 2^n outputs. Figure shows the blocks of 2-to-4,
3-to-8 and 4-to-16 decoders. Here, if three inputs are available in the decoder eight outputs will be available in the decoder which is known as 3-to-8 decoder.

Decoder QUIZ:

1. A decoder circuit does not have the __input

2. A decoder can be used as a Demultiplexer by ________.

3. 1. How many 3-line-to-8-line decoders are required for a 1-of-32 decoder?
